Safety at Sixes

Meeting new people should feel like a night out, not a leap of faith. Sixes is designed so the structure does the protecting — here's how, and here's the honest limits of what any service like ours can do.

The rules that never bend

  • Public venues only. Every Sixes experience happens at a public venue — a restaurant, bar, venue, or café with staff and other people around. Never a private home, never a hotel room, never a "change of plans" to somewhere private. If anyone suggests moving a Sixes night somewhere private, that's a red flag: decline and tell us.
  • Check-in with the host. Every night has a named host and a check-in by name at the venue. You never have to wander around identifying strangers from a photo — there's no photo to identify them from.
  • 21+ nights are marked. Bar nights and alcohol-led formats carry a clear 21+ mark before you book, and the venue's normal ID rules apply at the door. Other formats are 18+ to book.
  • No profiles, no browsing, no cold contact. There is nothing to browse and no way to message anyone outside your own crew. The only people who can reach you are the five in your six, in your crew chat, starting the day of your night.

During the night

  • Your tab is yours. You order and pay the venue directly — nobody handles your card, your cash, or your bill but you and the venue.
  • Leave whenever you want. No explanations owed. If anything feels off, tell venue staff or your host, and message us from the crew chat or by email — a bad vibe is reason enough.
  • Look out for your crew. Six people arrived as strangers; the expectation is you treat each other like future friends. Our code of conduct (in the terms) is short on purpose: be kind, respect no, respect the venue.

Reporting & enforcement

Report any member or any night to don+sixes@lifeofmorr.com with "Safety" in the subject — those messages are read first. Reports are reviewed by a human. Members who break the conduct rules are removed; there is no warning economy for safety issues. Crew chats are retained for a limited period so reports can be reviewed in context.

The honest limits

  • We match people who signed up and paid a seat fee; we are not a background-check service and we don't claim anyone has been "vetted" beyond our sign-up and payment checks. Meet in public — that's why every Sixes night is built that way — and trust your judgment.
  • We can't control a venue's own service or safety; we choose established public venues and hosts, and we stop working with venues that get complaints.
  • Payments are handled by Stripe — card numbers never touch our servers. We store the minimum needed to run your bookings (see the privacy policy).

Safety questions, answered

Is Sixes a dating app?

No. Matching ignores romance entirely — crews are built from vibe answers, city, and format. Some crews become friends, some become trivia rivals. That's the product.

Can I see who's coming before I book?

No — that's deliberate. You get first names of your five on the day of the night, in your crew chat. No photos, no profiles, no pre-judging, and nobody can look you up either.

What if I want to leave early, or not come?

Leave whenever you like — you're an adult at a public venue, not a hostage. Can't make it? Tell your crew in the chat as early as you can; repeat no-shows can lose booking privileges (see the terms).

What if someone in my crew makes me uncomfortable?

Move seats, talk to your host or venue staff, leave if you want — then report it to us with "Safety" in the subject. Reports are read first and reviewed by a human.
